Ephraim WILLARD Soldier of the Revolution
was born Dec 21, 1759 Son of Josiah WILLARD and
Dinah HOW(E)
His name also found in Erie CO PA Revolutionary War Soldiers, Came from New Braintree MA, Died October 8, 1837 in Harbor Creek Erie CO PA at the home of
his son Leonard WILLARD, was buried in East Ripley Cemetery . A badly worn stone bears his initials E.W.. and his wife's marked M.W. He applied for a
pension in 1818 then living in Ripley, and July 14th 1835 he asked to have
payments transferred to Harbor Creek, He enlisted June 1, 1775 in Capt.
Jonathan Danforth's Co Col. Brewer's Regt of MA., His family record was
filed with his application, He married at Granville NY Mindwell LOOMIS Dec
17, 1790 dau of Seth LOOMIS and Mindwell PORTER Seth also a Revolutionary
Soldier, She was born March 30, 1769 ,d 1845 in Harbor Creek,PA B East Ripley NY sister of Oliver and Joel JR LOOMIS also and others in area

Nickname "Betsey" they are buried in Greenfield Twp in SHADDUCK Cemetery which I think is on rte 531 North East and nearly gone Information on Betsy and her children is from the Erie Historical Society records, Chaney's Genealogy, Pamela Shadduck Booth and cemetery records.
