Mr. Elbert Hughes Robbins, age 81, of Nakina died Monday, December 3, 2012 at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville.

Mr. Robbins was born on August 9, 1931, son of the late Dexter and Ella Carroll Robbins. He was preceded in death by a daughter Vicki Robbins Brendle, 3 brothers Dosher, Dexter Jr. his twin Ebert Robbins, and one sister Elois Crisco.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Joyce Ward Robbins of Nakina; two sons Elbert Keith Robbins and wife Barbara and Gary Wade Robbins and wife Lisa all of Winnabow; two daughters Aleta Ferguson and husband Gary of Boiling Spring Lakes and Cheryl Robbins of Nakina; two brothers David Earl Robbins and Donald Ray Robbins both of Leland; three sisters Addie Mae Gore of Petersburg, Virginia, Mary Margaret Huffman of Winnabow, and Judy Faye Morris of Leland; 15 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Robbins Cemetery with Jimmie Mintz officiating.
