Clemmie Lorene Goodpaster, 81, York House, 725 W. 50th St., went to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:09 a.m. Monday in her home.

She was born in Bath County, Kentucky, to the late Robert and Mary Alice Purvis. She married Lee Goodpaster Jr. on Sept. 11, 1944, and he preceded her in death.

She retired from RCA, where she worked in the production department. She was a member of Yorktown Church of the Nazarene and attended New Hope Baptist Church, Gas City. She sang in the choir and did volunteer work at the church. She adored her family.

Survivors include daughters, Corene (Darrell) Thomas, Trinity, Fla., and Judy (Dale) Harlan, Marion; a brother, Floyd E. Purvis, Jonesboro; a sister, Gladys (Everett) Crumrine, Marion; daughter-in-law, Marty Goodpaster, Anderson; grandchildren, Karen Bauer, Dowagiac, Mich., Marjorie (Jeff) Covey, Middleville, Mich., Jay (Gina) Harlan, Easley, S.C., Sherrie (Mike) Carunchchia, Yorktown, Lori (Paul) Rohrer, Westfield, Robin Sexton, Lexington, Ky., Melissa Goodpaster, Anderson, and Bob Goodpaster, Lafayette; and eight great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by sons, Bob, Jesse and Robert Goodpaster; and sisters, Margaret Brooks and Hazel Jones.

Services are at 11 a.m. today in Yorktown Church of the Nazarene, 9001 W. Arch St., Yorktown, with the Rev. Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial is in Yorktown Cemetery.

Visitation was Wednesday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City,
