John J. Schrock, 95, of Meyersdale, passed from this life on April 10, 2015 at his residence. Born June 2, 1919 in Summit Twp., the son of the John B. and Susan (Frickey) Schrock.

Preceded in death by his parents; first wife, the former Margaret Vought; second wife: the former Donna Mae Pfeifer; brothers: Clarence and Milton Johnson; and sisters: Martha Bockes, Mary Brant, Olive “Ollie” Burkholder, Leora Crowe, and Velma Horchner.

Survived by his nieces: Linda Yommer, Boynton and Ruth Barron, Somerset.

He was a WWII Army veteran and he was a retired pipeline construction worker and timber man. John was a member of Maple Glen Church of the Brethren.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
