MANCHESTER - Grace Abramson, 99, a lifelong resident of Manchester, died Saturday at Equinox Terrace Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 2, 1898, in Manchester, the daughter of Arthur and Effie (Phillips) Burroughs. Mrs. Abramson assisted her late husband, Edward, in his grocery business for many years. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Rebeckah Lodge. She was well known for her knowledge of crafts, including quilting, rug hooking and sewing. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Abramson of Florida and Elsie Dufresne of Manchester; a son, Arnold Abramson of Manchester; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Dellwood Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Manchester Rescue Squad, care of Brewster Funeral Service, P.O. Box 885, Manchester, 05255.
