Lake Erie claimed another victim. The current issue of the local paper reported: "The body of Edward Truesdale, who was drowned in Lake Erie opposite Twenty Mile creek about two weeks ago, was found Monday afternoon about twenty five rods from shore, near Parker's Beach. Mr. Truesdale was nearly 23 years of age. The funeral was held at the family home Tuesday afternoon. Rev. C. G. Farr officiated. Burial was made at State Line. Those who acted as bearers were Ralph Johnson, Bobert Felton, Joseph Lowes, Ralph Wolf, Tommy Bryan and John Bogart."
About two weeks ago would place the drowning around June 10. Truesdale's gravestone at Northville Cemetery reads Eddie F. and it seem obvious the he belonged to the Truesdale family which first appeared in Ripley during 1805 but this remains to be sorted out.
