Norman Lewis Tapp died Sunday at Rex Hospital. He was a native of Person County, residing there for 70 years. He moved to Raleigh in 2001. Mr. Tapp was a retired tobacco buyer with Brown-Williamson and also he was a field reporter for the U.S. ASCS.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Ann Cushwa Tapp; children, Paul Norman Tapp, Kevin Cushwa Tapp, and Patricia Gaye Tapp; grandchildren, Jeremy and Elizabeth Tapp; and brother, James M. Tapp.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Tapp Slaughter.
