Clarence Eugene (Gene) Gannon, son of the late Clarence Elmer Earl and Ula Belle Rouintree Gannon, was born September 6, 1926, in West Plains, Missouri. He entered into eternal rest September 16, 2002, at the age of seventy-six years.
He received his education in the schools of Brandsville, Missouri and graduated from the Koshkonong High School with the Class of 1945. On December 24, 1947, Mr. Gannon was married at Compton, California to Lorine Mae Webb.
Mr. Gannon worked for Amyx Manufacturing in West Plains for over twenty-five years, retiring as the plant manager.
He is survived by his wife, Lorine Gannon, of the family home, three children, Peggy Kimbrough and husband, Bill, West Plains, Missouri, Charles Gannon and wife, Jayne, Anderson, Indiana and Vicki Jones and husband Max, West Plains, Missouri: six grandchildren, Jeannie Cox and husband David, Tracy Morris and fiancé, George Bressie, Jason Gannon, Brian Gannon and fiancé, Melissa Jones, Alan Jones and Alesha Jones; two great grandchildren, Zach and Courtney Cox; his extend family, Lanny Kimbrough, wife, Deana, and children, Andrew and Kaite, Chuck Kimbrough, wife, Erin, and children, Abbey and Kyle, and Andrea Edwards; one brother, David Lee Gannon and wife Millie, Stover, Missouri; two sisters, Anita Rosalie Hunter and husband, Wilbur, West Plains, Missouri and Yutha Mae Hays, Swartz Creek, Michigan; his mother-in-law, Rosa Ulrich, Springfield, Missouri, several nieces and nephews; and many special church friends.
Mr. Gannon is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ralph O. Gannon, one infant sister Rowena and two great grandchildren, Zeb Cox and Michael Kimbrough.
He loved he Lord and since his salvation in 1964, had been a worker in the Church of God and currently, Mr. Gannon attended the United Freewill Baptist Church. He was a Gideon and enjoyed his years as a Gideon.
