Mrs. E.L. Harrold Dies At Home, Dec. 2

Had Lived in Community Nearly Forty Years
Mrs. E.L. Harrold passed away on Dec. 2 at her home in Wadena following a long illness. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church, the Rev. R.H. Mercer officiating. Interment was in the Wadena cemetery, with C.M. Larsen, Ben Dovenmuehler, Robert Derby, Roy Young, Albert Lehman and A.M. Sylvester serving as bearers.
Olive May Naylor was born May 15, 1877 at Perry, Iowa, the daughter of Lemuel and Louisa Naylor. Her marriage to Mr. Harrold took place in her sister’s home near Perry on Sept. 27, 1911. They established a home on the groom’s farm near Ashley, N.D., where they lived two years and then moved to a farm near Wadena, where they lived until moving into the village in 1947. She became a member of the Methodist Church in childhood and attended regularly as long as her health permitted.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband and three sons, Walter, of Windom, Minn., Robert, of Billings, Mont., and Glenn, of Washington, Pa. There are four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Bell Billing of Des Moines, Ia., and a brother, A.L. Naylor of Perry, Ia.
