The Britton Journal...Cupid's Dart Hits The Mark: Hard Times No Barrier to Hearts That Beat As One...The stringency of the money supply seems to have no terrors for young people bent on getting into double harness. Perhaps they still believe, the old myth about two being able to live as cheaply as one.....BUSS-LaMee-----John Buss and Miss Lavinia LaMee were quietly married at the Presbyterian parsonage by Dr. D.E. Jackson Thursday afternoon, October 6. They were attended by Frank Buss, brother of the groom and Gladys LaMee, a sister of the bride. The bride was dressed in a taupe messaline and the bridesmaid wore a dress of blue messaline. The reading of the marriage service was witnessed by Peter LaMee, father of the bride and sons, Dale and Orin, and daughter, Dorothea, and Mr. and Mrs Amos Benda. After the ceremony the party returned to the bride's home where the bridal supper was served. The guests were: Mrs S.W. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith, of Veblen; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Spencer and son, Orin, and Clarence McNeil, Cogswell, N.D.; Miss Ester Clipper, of Havana; Mr. and Mrs. Vern LaMee and Miss Beulah Buss.
