LEBANON — Funeral services for Jerry T. Huddleston, 84, of Mt. Juliet, will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home in Lebanon. Interment will follow in Mount Juliet Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, and after 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Huddleston passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, in Elmcroft Assisted Living in Lebanon.

He was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Putnam County, to the late Robert Clennie and Vera Leftwich Huddleston.

Mr. Huddleston graduated from Baxter Seminary and retired from Ford Glass Plant with 30 years of service. He was a member of Westland United Methodist Church. His love of sports was shared with family in Lebanon High Football, Lebanon Babe Ruth, Mount Juliet Little League and Babe Ruth. He enjoyed camping at Fall Creek Falls, which he had done since 1975. He especially enjoyed visiting the Lebanon Senior Citizens Center in the last years. The love he received there was appreciated.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 2000, Betty Crisler Huddleston (whom he married in 1948); two brothers, Max and Gordon Huddleston; and two sisters, Nell Huddleston Wyatt and Betty Jean Huddleston Fletcher.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and Austin Britt.

Bros. Roland Scruggs and William Mulroy will officiate at the services.
