A Little One Taken
The little babe of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Prosser, who live on the Brown-Ecker farm five miles east, died very suddenly last Friday afternoon. The mother laid the baby down, apparently as well as ever for a nap, and left the room. In about an hour as the infant seemed almost too quiet, she went to it. Dr. Eye was immediately summoned who pronounced the cause diphtheria. Funeral services were held Saturday, by Rev. Semans, with interment in Delphos. The sympathy of friends in extended.

Although death has blighted their earthly hopes concerning little Odis, they may be comforted by the thought:
That when parents shall meet on high,
The babe they lost in infancy,
They will then have for pains and fears,
The day of woe, the watchful night,
For all their sorrow, all their tears,
An overpayment of delight.
