Alma Lula Dean, 88, passed from this life November 27, 2012, in the Westbrook Nursing Home in Waurika, Oklahoma.
She was born November 20, 1924 to Sam Morris and Lula (Dickey) Morris in Davidson, Oklahoma. Alma and Merlin Dean were united in marriage in 1943 and to this union 2 daughters and a son were born. She married Leonard Dean November 1, 1983, in Sherman, Texas.
Alma is survived by her husband - Leonard Dean of Waurika, OK, children - Latreta Stout of Waurika, OK, Linda Newman of Oklahoma City, OK, and Vaden Dean of Oklahoma City, OK, and David Sanchez whom Alma claimed as her own, one brother - Sam Morris of Bakersfield, CA, three step-children - Marsha Moore of Duncan, OK, Debbie Harrison of Rush Springs, OK, and Greg Dean of Edmond, OK, six grand-children and twelve great-grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Lula Morris, seven sisters, and her sons-in-law Richard Stout and Gary Newman.
Funeral services will be Saturday December 1, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Nazarene Church in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Lynn Plant and Jerry Moore officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday November 29, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Friday November 30, 2012, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with family receiving visitors Friday from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika, Oklahoma.
