Carita was a 1965 graduate of Warren Central High School, a 1969 graduate of Purdue University, and received her Master's degree from State University of New York at Oneonta in 1997. She taught most recently at the Indianapolis Public Schools mostly at Arsenal Technical. She was a life member and fellow of the National Speleological Society (Cavers). She also attended the Franklin Road Baptist Church, Perry Township Democrat Club, and the Girl Scouts. She was active until the end of life giving to others in the hospice care center. She enjoyed cats, cooking, baking, sewing, and was the ultimate homemaker.
Carita is survived by her husband Nicholas W. Noe; children Shawn P. (Janet Lea) Noe, Cynthia A. Noe, and William E. Noe; mother Elizabeth Bays; step daughter Jerrica (Xristian) Simon; step-grandchildren Josh and Whitney Adams; and step-great-grandchildren Sid Adams and Elijah Akins.
She was preceded in death by her father William Bays.
