María Magdalena Vallejo y Lugo was born at Branciforte July 23, 1803, and baptized at Mission Santa Cruz (SCZ Baptism not found). She was the daughter of sargento Ignacio Vallejo y Gómez and María Antonia Lugo y Martínez. She married the widowed Lieutenant Antonio Severino del Valle y [?] at the Monterey Presidio Chapel (San Carlos) on September 13, 1824 (SC Marriage 00928). She died giving birth to their first child, who also died, and they were buried together in the old (San Carlos) Presidio Cemetery July 9, 1825 (SC Burial 02534).
