James Greenly Faries (or Farris as he was probably named at birth) was one of ten children of James and Susan. His many sisters were always protective of him as one leg was shorter than the other. He lived with his mother most of his life until she died in 1926. In 1940 he married a woman named Mrs Martha Turek (nee Jaffke; Mardy as he called her) and enjoyed 13 good years together with she and her two daughters. Jim was a long time member of the First Baptist church of Jackson Ohio where he lived for many years, he was a good citizen, a fine neighbor, and was well liked by all who knew him.
