AUGUSTA - The funeral for Kenneth George (Kitt) Gunter, a native of Wagener, was held yesterday at Posey's Funeral Home, Langley. The Rev. Ken Wilson officiated. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens, Langley. Mr. Gunter, 76, who resided at 237 Sherwood Drive, died Friday. A former member of the American Legion, Mr. Gunter was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Lee Gunter, Augusta; a son, Kenneth Eugene Gunter, Abilene, Texas; five sisters, Nell Jones and Lena Huckabee, Bath, Lillia Flake, Aiken, Alma Williams, Lexington, and Susie Cooper, Perry; and three brothers, Liston Gunter, Orangeburg, Gatlin Gunter, Wagener, and Cellis Gunter, Columbia. Pallbearers were to be Paul Gray, Robert Jones, Harmon Meeker, Russ Collins, Tommy Kitchens and Byron Williams.
