Wesley Paul Verdin Sr., 55, a native of Houma and resident of Theriot, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial in St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his spouse of 36 years, Winona Billiot Verdin; his children, Wesley Verdin Jr., Helen Patterson and husband, Junius, Garland Verdin and wife, Tori, and Steve Verdin; his grandchildren, Estelle Verdin, Alora Patterson, Trinidee Patterson, Garalynn Verdin, Paislie Verdin, Maddex Verdin, Trevor Verdin, Elektra Verdin and Evans Verdin; and his siblings, Howard Verdin, Lawrence Verdin; John Verdin Sr., Mona Liner, Leah Verdin, Josephine Scott, Lona Verdin, Lillian Verrett, Melvina Lodrigue and Eva Cotton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leah Marie Verdin and Evans Joseph Verdin; and his siblings, Cleveland Verdin, John Verdin, Pierre Verdin, James Verdin, Ella Verdin, Florence Trosclair, Louise Lacabon, Evans Joseph Verdin Jr., and Anthony Paul Verdin; grandparents, Joseph Billiot and Josephine Lodrigue Billiot; and paternal grandparents, Theo and Marie Pellegrin Verdin.
He loved his children and grandchildren.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
