Carl G. Fincher, 56, of Arab, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Meek Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Steve Fincher will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Moss-Service Funeral Home will direct.

Mr. Fincher was a graduate of the University of Alabama and completed his post-graduate studies at MTSU, receiving recognition as the top psychology student. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the United States Army 173rd Airborne Division. He was also a member of Meek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl H. Fincher.

He is survived by his wife, Judy C. Fincher; son, Jay C. Fincher; daughter, Anna Gwen Fincher; mother, Agnes Fincher of Arley; brother and sister-in-law, Roger Fincher and Faye of Arley; brothers-in-law, Johnny Coker and L.B. White; nieces, Amy (Eric) Fuller, Carrie (Greg) Abercrombie, and Lori White; nephews, Greg (Lora) Coker and Nathan Fincher; mother-in-law, Lois Humphries; and a host of cousins, aunts and an uncle.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Fincher, Eric Fuller, Keri Fincher, Ralph Williams, Byron Brown, Brad Alston and Tommy Mitchell.
