Kenneth Albert Wellington, 80, passed away August 31, 2002 at his home in West Bountiful. It was our honor and privilege to have him serve as the patriarch of our family. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Kenneth was born Aug 22, 1922 in Lehi, Utah County, UT to John Edmund and Fern Ivie Wellington. He married Janet Judd May 8, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in various positions throughout his life. He served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II, Oct 1942 to Feb 1946. He retired after working 42 years for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1983. He was the Justice Court Judge for West Bountiful City for 17 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Janet, who has been an unwavering caregiver; three daughters, Barbara (Duane) Benson, Niskayuna, NY, Jane Ann (Kent) Messenger, Provo, UT, Mary Kay (Brent) Whipple, Centerville, UT; 12 grandchildren, Sally (Jason) Troth, Diane (Sam) Kirkpatrick, Paul Benson, Robert (Amy), Judd (Heidi), Bryan, Mark, David Messenger, Kenneth (Shana), Jeffrey, Shannon, Gregory Whipple; and four great-grandchildren, Melissa, Daniel Kirkpatrick, Andrew Messenger, Afton Messenger; one brother, Ted Wellington, St. George, UT; and one sister, Fern Myrtle Nielson, Sanford, CO. Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Adelaide.

Services will be Thurs. Sept 5, 2002, 11 a.m., West Bountiful Stake Center, 1930 N. 600 W, West Bountiful, UT. Friends may call Wed. Sept 4, 6-8 p.m., Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N.
