Elizabeth Abell, age 91, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012.
She was born on April 23, 1921 in Hazelton, IN to Earl E. and Nora E. (Kunkel) Byrd.
She was a member of Thompson Road Baptist Church.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Frank) Cardoza of Salem, Oregon; grandchildren, Teri (Robert) Howard of Salt Lake City, Utah, Tod (Susan) Ginther of Des Moines, Iowa, Traci (Randy) Kautz of Salem, Oregon, Rev. Randy (Deanne) Abell of Ames, Iowa, Rob Abell of Bloomfield, Indiana and Rhonda (Rev. Alfredo) Maese of Yuma, Arizona; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Oral Abell, her son, James Abell.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 from 4 PM until 8 PM at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Thompson Road Baptist Church, 1700 E. Thompson Rd., Indianapolis with calling there from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
Elizabeth will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
