Ouida Mae G. Morvant, 77, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 9:26 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012. She was born June 20, 1935.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ned Morvant; daughter, Lorraine Thibodaux and husband, Ricky; brothers, Calvin Gauthier Sr. and Carroll Gauthier Sr.; sisters, Louise Lirette and Laura Hue; and one grandson, Garrett Thibodaux.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Gauthier and Leonce Chiasson Gauthier; one son, Michael Morvant; brothers, Eddie and Eugene Gauthier; and one sister, Ida Mae Gauthier.
