She was born in Cornell, Wis. on March 30, 1917, the daughter of the late Freeland and Anna (Wardwell) Morrison. She was a graduate of Evanston Township High School in Evanston, Ill.

She moved to Manistee with her parents in 1935. She attended Monticello College in Alton, Ill., where she graduated in 1938. When she returned to Manistee she worked as a Red Cross fund drive worker and her first stop was at Berglund Drug Store, where she met the manager, Don Berglund. For a time she was a social editor at the Manistee News Advocate and later worked with her husband at Berglund Drug Store.

Sally was a substitute mother for students who worked in the store. She and Don tried to instill the importance of education and the need to go to college. She loved family get-togethers and always welcomed others into her life.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Manistee and the local chapter of PEO. She was an avid golfer and had been a member of the Manistee Golf & Country Club. She had been active with the Manistee Civic Players and enjoyed the theater. She had a great love of playing bridge with friends and listening to good music.

Sally is survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sally was also preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Gullander, and by her special niece, Mary (Olsen) Bone.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced later. Final interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
