Robert E. Craddock
Robert E. Craddock, 75, of Union, died at 3:22 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South. He retired after 30 years as a carpenter for Virginia Metal Product. He was a member of Carpenters Union Local No. 698, a member and deacon at Union Baptist Church, a fishing guide on Kentucky Lake for 20 years and a Marine veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Ruby A. Gruelle Craddock; sons, Wayne Craddock of Walton, Philip Craddock and David Craddock, both of Union; brothers, Tom Craddock of Florence and Roy Craddock of Williamsburg, Ohio; sisters, Virginia Myers of Dunedin, Fla., and Barbara Scudder of Florence; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Union. Memorials are suggested to the church.
