Mary J. (Dunphy) Lamb of Burlington died peacefully Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was 81.

Mary was born and raised on Red Island, Newfoundland, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anastasia Dunphy.

A Burlington resident since 1952, Mary was employed as a nursing assistant for the Masonic Home of New Jersey.

A member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Burlington, Mary enjoyed spending time at the shore, knitting, crocheting, baking, and sewing, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Wife of the late Herbert H. Lamb Sr., who died in 1995, Mary is survived by her loving flock, Michele Miller of Deptford, Patricia Jasinski of Somers Point, Lynn Rugg of Edgewater Park, Herbert H. Lamb Jr., of Burlington, Michael Lamb of Rio Grande, Teresa Aslanian of Somers Point, Mary Ann Vitelli of Northfield, and Leona Johnson of North Hanover. She also is survived by three brothers, Patrick Dunphy of Mt. Pearl, St. John's, Newfoundland, Joseph Dunphy of Gander, Newfoundland, and Cam Dunphy of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Mary also leaves to cherish her memory 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Although she made her home in New Jersey, she remained a proud citizen of Canada and a part of her never truly left the province of Newfoundland.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, East Union Street, Burlington. Interment will be held privately. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and again Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Mary's name be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ. 08053.
