Brent "Wade" Ford
1970 - 2012

Brent Wade Ford passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in Provo, Utah. He was born February 2, 1970 in American Fork, Utah to Michael R. and Carol Noreen Openshaw Ford. He was raised by his loving mother and step-father Carol Noreen and Leon Laws. Wade attended schools in Orem, Utah including Orem Jr. High School and Orem High School. He married Amy E. Kofford Rodabough on February 22, 1992 and later divorced but stayed lifetime friends. They had one son together, Ryan T. Ford.

Wade's time was spent with family. Family was everything to him. He had a huge heart and always tried to be there and serve others. He looked up to his brothers and spent a lot of time talking about their adventures growing up. He was a hard worker and took pride in a job well done. He worked in many places throughout his life and loved the adventure of it. He loved nature and felt most at home in the outdoors. Whether fishing, hunting or just going for a walk along the railroad tracks, it brought him joy. His biggest accomplishment, and also his pride and joy, was his son. He was the perfect father! He battled many hardships head on with a positive attitude. He overcame a disability with his bravery and changed the path of his life. He was the definition of the word persistence and an example to all to never give up. He had an infectious smile and laughter that could brighten any room.

He was preceded in death by his mother and brother Tyler, both who shared the same beautiful heart as Wade as well as his grandmother Betty Murdoch.

He is survived by his son Ryan T. Ford of Lehi; step-father Leon Laws of Provo, Michael R. (Cathy) Ford of Orem; brothers Darren Ford, Shane (Melissa) Ford; step-brother Roger (Ondie) Laws; step-sister Honey Dawn (Brett) McElyen; sister-in-law Sheri Barrett; 8 nieces and nephews and his loyal best friend, Jeremy.
