Alfred Morton, a well known and highly
respected resident of Frankfort, Kansas
passed away at his home. He was 84 years
old.
He was born December 2, 1872, the third
child of Sidney and Mary Ann (Beattie)
Morton near Seaforth, in the province
of Ontario, Canada.
On March 7, 1897 he was united in
marriage to Minnie L. Stump at the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
George Stump, northeast of Frankfort,
Kansas.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three
daughters, Mrs. Justin Harper, Frankfort,
Kansas, Mrs. Milton Crawford, Vermillion,
Kansas, Mrs. Clarence Roeder, Blaine,
Kansas; six grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. L.C.
Monce, Frankfort, Kansas, and Mrs. George
Tyler, Manhattan, Kansas; one brother,
Thomas Morton preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist
Church on Friday, January 21, 1955.
Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
