After World War II Edith and John settled in Woodland where they raised four children. Edith was active in the Puss in Boots Children's Home Society, Omega Nu Sorority, and the PTA. She also enjoyed playing league volleyball, league bowling and spending time at the family cabin on the Salmon River in Idaho.
Edith is survived by four children, Kathy Marriott of Yuba City, Carolyn Tomlin and Debby Cleveland of Woodland; and John Kimzey of Davis; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Claire Jones of Madera, and Donna Jean Kemnitz of Woodland; and by many nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by her husband John in 2000, sister Attice Johnson; as well as by two brothers, Robert Beall and Bradley Beall.
