STAMFORD -- Bobby Fay Anders, 74, lifelong area resident, died Tuesday in a Haskell hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Minnie Walker and Gene Bendingfield officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. in Henson Family Cemetery in Red Springs.
Mr. Anders was born in Stamford and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He married Vernia May Henson in 1965 in Fredericksburg and owned and operated an automotive body shop. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Stamford; one son, Donny Anders of Abilene; three stepsons, Ray Don Henson of Oklahoma City, Franklin Henson of Stamford and Edwin Burl Henson of Albany; one stepdaughter, Billie May Roche of Oklahoma City; four brothers, J.L. "Chill" Anders of Stamford, Odell Anders of Midland, Charlie Anders of Victoria and R.A. Anders of Austin; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
