Heber Robert McBride was born May 13, 1843 in Churchtown, Lancashire, England [Churchtown is presently located in Merseyside]. Heber came to America and crossed the plains in the Handcart Company at the age of 13. In 1904 he moved to the Welling, Alberta, Canada area.
Heber married 1) Elizabeth Burns and they had 10 children: Elizabeth, Margaret, Bethsina, Thirza, Orlando, Eva, Clarence, Parley, Amber, and Edna. Only the last four came to the Raymond, Alberta, Canada area.
Heber married 2) Elizabeth Gould and they had five children: Elnora, Delecta, Ira, Detta, and Omer.
Heber died on July 31, 1925.
