Doris Yalden ne Tarrant June and victors mum was such a lovely kind gentle womenwho worked so hard all of her life She was born in Whitchurch Hampshire in 1910.Her father was a farm worker and moved house very often.after leaving school she worked in service to big houses. She came from a large family and when they moved to Hillside near Odiham, that is we're she met my dad Albert James Yalden .They got married in 1932,living in Odiham for awhile then moving to Long Sutton Hampshire where they spent all their married life..They had Two children June and Victor.Mum used to work very hard helping on Strattons farm, cleaning the village hall and church and for awhile worked for Cpt Sims Williams in the old school house. I can remember her taking us up to the village school and when air raids were on Running us up there to the air raid shelter in the play ground.while dad did his home guard duties. She loved the church and often used to play the Church Organ. She was a wonderful mum and also a devoted daughter and was always cycling to hillside to look after her Parants until they passed away .and I tried to do the same for her. After dear dad died suddenly in 1973, she stayed in the bungalow dad built for their retirement but when Vic got married she felt she couldn't stay there on her own and sold up and came to live at church crookham to be near me and and my husband .with Vic coming to see her often she had Seven Grandchidren Vics got a four And I Had three but sadly we lost her first grandson in a car crash.Mum was a wonderful lady who loved the simple things in life. But most of all her family past and present. She out lived all of her "Tarrant" family and lived to the grand age of 94 Dad would have been proud of her as we all were.Vic And your "June"e miss you so much mum more than words con say .you dad and our "yo" will live in our hearts forever .one day we will all be together again.good night mum god bless you love you .Rest in Peace XXXX
