Patsy M. Abston, 74, of Charleston, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 at Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Patsy was born July 12, 1938 in Cumberland County, Illinois, daughter of John A. and Marjorie (Hanley) Wilson. She married Arthur R. Abston, February 18, 1956 in Toledo, Illinois; he survives. Also surviving are their children: Joe Abston and wife Cathy and Leah Lisa Bennett McPherson, all of Charleston; grandchildren: April, Sunshine, Shantha, Travis, Janie, Teleatha, Tiffany, and Justice; great-grandchildren: Dalton, Haley, Kylie, Noah, Ashton, Avory, Kelsey, Sloane, Tristan, Alana, and Aidan; sisters: Louise Moses, Charlotte Erwin, Donna Campbell, and Maxine Ballinger; brothers: Lawrence Wilson Bruce Wilson, and John Wilson. She was preceded in death by one grandson: Todd Nance; and two sisters: Rose Pollard and Shirley Guinn; one brother: Marion Wilson; and one nephew: Troy Wilson.
Patsy was a homemaker and had worked for many years at Brown Shoe Company and later at Celotex. Family was very important to her, she based her whole life around her grandchildren
