Patricia Whistle was the daughter of Ralph and Clara Vowels Noisworthy. She was called "Patsy" by her mother's family. Most folks knew her as "Pat." She married Don Whistle on March 18, 1948 and he died on May 24, 1999.

She and Don had four children: Cathie (Michael) Comerio, Craig (Donna Korando) Whistle, Chet (Joni Murphy) Whistle and Laura (Michael Duncan) Cates Duncan, ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Pat had one younger brother -- Harold David Noisworthy.

Pat was a true helpmate to Don, supporting him through 50+ years of farm life and all that that entails. Despite losing her mother at the tender age of nine years old, several of her maternal aunts helped raise her and she became a loving, affectionate, nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent homemaker. She managed to create and maintain an appealing, warm and welcoming home despite meager resources at times. She was a great cook; picked out hundreds of pie pans of cracked pecans while watching television; sewed many, many pieces of clothing; and created wonderful Christmas morning memories.
