OLTON (Special) - Dan Daniels, 69, retired bookkeeper for the Smith Cotton Gin, died Tuesday afternoon at the Community Hospital after an illness of several months.

He moved to Olton from Springlake in 1946 and was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Florence; his mother, Mrs. Annie Daniels of Westville, Okla.; brothers, C.S. of Amarillo and J.B. of Dallas, and sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Rodgers of Lincoln, Ark.; and Mrs. Ralph Jamison and Mrs. Glen Smith of Anacortes, Wash.

Services are pending with Parsons Funeral Home.

OLTON - Last rites for Dan Daniels, 69, will be at 10 a.m. today in the Main Street Church of Christ with J.D. Lancaster, minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Olton Cemetery under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home.

Mr. Daniels, a retired bookkeeper for the Smith Cotton Gin, died Tuesday afternoon at the Community Hospital.

He was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. He moved to Olton from Springlake in 1946.

Survivors include his wife, his mother, two brothers and three sisters.
