Died at Sunnyside Care Center. Daughter of William and Arena Courtney. She graduated from Newberg High School in 1924. She attended Southern Oregon College (now Southern Oregon University) in Ashland. She married Harold Davis on Sept. 1, 1929. She taught school for 21 years in Coos Bay, mostly second grade. She resided in Turner Retirement Home from May 1993 to August 2003. She and her husband enjoyed golfing and camping. She taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and played piano. Survivors include: son Leland of Olympia, WA; a niece; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, two brothers and four sisters.
