Hall-Taylor Funeral Home obit:

John Thomas Snider, 79, passed away on Thursday, 22 November 2012, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington.A native of Spencer County, he was the son of the late Raymond Eli Snider, Sr., and Ruby Hazel Jewell Snider. He served in the U. S. Army during the aftermath of the Korean War. He was a Baptist by faith, and was a farmer and a barber, and he enjoyed playing the fiddle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene A. Snider


His survivors include his wife, Sue D. Snider of Little Mount; his sons, John Christopher Snider, and his wife, Allison Byrd, of Roswell, Georgia, and Dr. Gregory Thomas Snider and his wife, Pamela Vice, of Lexington; his brother, Raymond Snider, Jr., of Cynthiana; his sister, Joann Halsey of Mount Sterling; and his three grandchildren, Zoe Snider, Henry Snider, and Graham Thomas Snider.


Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, 26 November 2012, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville with Reverend Tommy Purvis and Reverend David Clay officiating. Interment will follow in Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M., until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, at Hall-Taylor. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
