James Leander Holloway was born in the area of Eagleville, Missouri to Uriah "Scott" and Lucille Davenport Holloway.

On 6 February 1945, he married Marjorie Norgaard. They are the parents of the following eight children, listed with spouses: Judy Kaye (married ____ Mitchell), Connie Louise (married ____Miranda), Pamela Sue (married ____Davis), Randy Scott (b & d 13 Nov 1951), Luanne (married Mike Dickens), Marcia Jo (married Jim Sharone), Richard James (married Veronica ___), and James Lee (married Karen____). James & Marjorie and their 7 children moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1961.

James Holloway worked in Real Estate in Arizona. He also mowed and cleaned lots for sale.

Interment is in Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale, Arizona.
