Mrs. Lorene Barnes Russell, age 50, died suddenly at her home in Houston, Texas Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist Church in Fayetteville, by Rev. C. B. Smith and Rev. Hugh Burroughs, and the Rev. H. A. Harlow. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Russell was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of Mary Lloyd Barnes and the late Theo Barnes. For a number of years she was employed by the Union National Bank. Mrs. Russell was a member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, H. Grady Russell, Houston, Texas; one son, Larry Russell, also of Houston; her mother, Mrs. Mary L. Barnes, Howell; one sister, Mrs. Joe Thomas, Hohenwald, Tennessee; four brothers, Collier Barnes and Chester Barnes, both of Lincoln County, Phillip Barnes and Teddy Barnes, both of Nashville.
