Arline D. Sopko 86, of Lower Saucon Township, died Saturday, May 31, 2008 in her residence. She was the wife of Joseph Charles Sopko. Born in Fountain Hill, Pa. on January 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Gottfried and Clara Anna (Lorenz) Flammer. Arline was a former member of Mountainview Moravian Church, Hellertown. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for several years and was the manager of the Gift Shop at St. Lukes Hospital for more than 10 years. Arline loved playing Bridge. She had many hobbies and excelled at gardening, baking, sewing and making crafts.

Survivors: In addition to her husband of 63 years April 25, she is survived by daughters, Sandra A. Sopko of Emmaus and Carol J. Schade of Tatamy; brother, Robert and his wife, Esther Dolly, of Bethlehem; three grandsons, Andrew C. and James J. Schade and Joseph M. Sopko. She was predeceased by brothers, Alfred, Albert and Gilbert, and by sisters, Eleanor L. Weaver, Hildegarde Wildoner, Elizabeth Solt, Claire Horwath, Roberta Bogdan, Theresa Flammer.

Services: Family and friends are invited to her visitation period from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday June 3, 2008 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home concluding in Union Cemetery, Hellertown.
