Chester Carpenter passed away at the young age of 93 on November 23, 2012, after a lengthy hospitalization due to a tractor accident.

He was born on January 29, 1919, to Bosse and Minnie Carpenter, and he was one of ten children.

Chester served our country in the South Pacific during World War II, and he served our Lord for many years as a Baptist Minister until retirement. His favorite pastime was fishing, as he was an avid fisherman. He performed many marriages, at last count totaling over one hundred of them, during his days as a pastor.

Chester is preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings, his wife, Wanda Murline Carpenter to whom he was married for over 60 years and his son, Earnest Carpenter.

He is survived by his daughter, Virginia (Ginger) Lymbery and husband, Don; one daughter-in-law, Lynell Carpenter, (the surviving spouse of Earnest H. Carpenter); four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

Burial: Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger, Texas
