Obituary in The Times and Democrat, Orangeburg, SC, 22 Apr 2008: Ehrhardt - Mrs. Llewellyn Copeland Bishop, 82, of 5025 Lowcountry Highway, Ehrhardt, died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at Bamberg Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Ehrhardt Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Ehrhardt Cemetery. Mrs. Bishop was born July 25, 1925, in Ehrhardt and was a daughter of the late Laurie W. Copeland Sr. and Deborah Zeigler Copeland. She graduated from Ehrhardt High School and Winthrop College and completed her graduate work at the University of South Carolina. She was a member of Ehrhardt Baptist Church. Mrs. Bishop dedicated 44 years to the education of others, having taught school in Spartanburg, Bamberg, Colleton, Barnwell, Allendale and Charleston Counties. Known as a wonderful wife, mother and teacher, Mrs. Bishop was loved and appreciated by all who knew her and will always be remembered for the many lives that she touched. Survivors include her husband, Boyce W. Bishop Jr. of Ehrhardt; son, Boyce Alwyn Bishop of Hartsville; brother, Jack Copeland of Ehrhardt; nephew, Wingard Copeland of Ehrhardt; niece, Frances Stanley of Ehrhardt. She was preceded in death by a brother, L. W. Copeland Jr. and sister, Lenora Smith.
