Graveside services for Fannie Jane Tunnell, 80, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the Crinnerville Cemetery with Reverend Larry Johnson officiating.
The daughter of the late Whit Carroll and Effie May (Hudson) Carroll, Fannie was born on October 19, 1932, in Brock, Oklahoma, and passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in a Denton, Texas hospital.
She and John Prince Tunnell were married on April 14, 1952, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, where they resided.
A lifelong Ardmore resident, Fannie was a housewife and mother to all. She enjoyed singing, dancing, cooking and spending time with her family. Fannie also kept busy by raising her dogs and her chickens.
She is survived by her four children, Mavis Clayton, Thomas Tunnell and wife, Paulette, Shirley Scoggins and John Tunnell and wife, Tisha all of Ardmore, Okla.; a brother, James Carroll and wife, Diana; numbers nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, John Tunnell; brother, Whit Carroll; a sister, Roxy May Harrion; a grandson, Jerry Brzowski.
Pallbearers will be Thomas, Tunnell, John Tunnell, Shane Smith, Scotty Minyard, Johnny Minyard and Larry Conner.
The family will receive friends this evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
