Kie J. Pelfrey, 79, of Brookville, Ind. (formerly of Lynchburg), died Saturday, Feb. 3, 1996, at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born Sept. 15, 1916, near Jackson, Ky., the son of Sam Henry and Lizzie Ruth (Watkins) Pelfrey.
Ne was a navy veteran of World War II and a retired union representative for the AFL-CIO.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; two sons and daughters-in-law; one stepdaughter and son-in-law; one step-son and daughter-in-law; eight brothers; three half-brothers; one half-sister; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Dorothy Pelfrey in 1983 and Nell Lockhard Pelfrey in 1994; four brothers, John r., Sheldon and Richmond Pearl and Roy Pelfrey; one sister, Mary Lou Pelfrey; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. The Rev. Robert Miller will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
