Billie J. Swaney, age 75, of Maryville, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Kindred Healthcare surrounded by her family. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Johnnie R. "Bobbie" Swaney; parents, Dave and Flo Jones; sisters, Univee Jones, Katheleen Jones, Peggy Leigh Jones, Addie B. Reagan, Betty Lou Amburn, Glovia Jo Ward; brother, Bricky Jones; grandson, Michael Monroe. Survived by, daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Stephen Monroe of Lenoir City, Karen and David Taylor of Maryville, Kerri and Stephen Law of Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sherry Swaney of Key West, Florida; grandchildren, Kyra Monroe, Stephen Monroe II, Kenzie Swaney, Patrick Taylor; stepgrandchildren, Joey, Daniel and Ashley Taylor, Stephanie Green and Elijah Monroe; sister, Maxine and Jim Henry of Maryville; sister-in-law, Clara Jones of Maryville; brother-in-law, Leonard Amburn of Vonore; special friend, Martha Coppinger of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Billie owned her catering business, Weddings, Etc. for many years and was an avid quilter. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Kindred Healthcare. Funeral service 3 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Ben Ward officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
