Walter David Quier, 78, Nyona Lake, passed away at 2:21 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

Born August 10, 1934 in Mentone, Indiana he was the son of Elmer and Cleora Dillman Quier. His first marriage was to his first wife on 9/5/1955 in Plymouth, Indiana. They were divorced in 1973. They had 6 children, 2 are deceased. On 4/4/1974, he was married his second wife.

Walter, known as "Bud" to many, worked in construction most of his life. He was a devoted member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Peru where he volunteered many hours making things and helping around the church.

Walter is survived by his children, four children and 4 step-children; two sisters,and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Susan Elizabeth Quier and Cynthia Lynn Quier, two sisters, Edna and Esther; and two brothers, Arthur and Donald.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Peru with Pastor Tony Winter officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery, Macy.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service at the church.
