WILLIAMSPORT --- Mrs. Grace Edith Hawbecker, 86, widow of David Edward Hawbecker, a former resident of Williamsport, died Tuesday afternoon at the Western Maryland State Hospital.
Born in Pennsylvania, whe was the daughter of Daniel and Anna Marie Baker Poper. She was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church and the Ladies' Bible Class and Sunday school at the church and the Golden State Council No. 25 of Sons and Daughters of Liberty.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elwood Anderson of Williamsport; one son, Woodrow D. Hawbecker of Mercersburg, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Wolfe of Hagerstown; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Williamsport Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles A. Michael and the Rev. C. Gordon Clews officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Williamsport.
The family will receive friends at the Leaf Funeral Home in Williamsport Thursday evening from 7 to 9.
