She married Allen Cleo Thompson on 04-26-1921, in Chicago, Cook County, IL. He was born 02-04-1898, Nashville, Davidson County, TN, the son of George LeRoy Thompson and Mary Eulala Allen, both from TN. Allen appears to have died before 1930.
The Cook County Coroner's Certificate of Death, gives her date of death as 03-12-1952, not 1951 as given on stone.
The same certificate confirms her date of birth, both parents and burial date at St. Marys of 03-14-1952.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Thompson, 51, of 4128 N Clarendon ave, Chicago, former resident of Peoria, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Boland Mortuary and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Msgr. Murray V Haas will officiate. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 p.m. today, and the rosary will be recited at 8:15 tonight.
Mrs. Thompson, widow of Cleo Thompson, died early Wednesday morning at her home in Chicago, where she had resided for 30 years. Born here Dec. 19, 1900, she was a daughter of Richard and Mary E Day Wynn. She had been employed as a waitress.
Surviving are her stepmother, Mrs Lena Wynn; a stepbrother, Richard Wynn, and two stepsisters, Mrs G.M. Drake, all of Peoria, and Mrs C.J. Blum of San Diego, Calif.
