Frances R. Unger, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care November 21, 2012.

Born June 1, 1928, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Margaret E. (Small) Leonard.

Fran was a 1946 graduate of Delone Catholic High school in McSherrystown and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Hanover.

She was retired from Clarks N.A.

Surviving are three children, William O. Unger, II and wife, Donna of Littlestown, Valerie A. Krug and husband, Dustin of Hanover, and Lori S. Hager and husband, Joel of Abbottstown; eight grandchildren, Christina Petenbrink, Matthew Unger, Amber Bosley, Nicholas and Anthony Krug, Ryan Unger, Jordan and Jensen Hager; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas A. Leonard and wife Jean of Hanover.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, Bernadette Aumen, Dennis Leonard, Sr. Monica Marie Leonard, Leo Leonard, and Joseph Leonard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., November 24, 2012, at St. Vincent Church in Hanover, with the Rev. John D. Schmalhofer officiating. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown.
