She was the 3rd daughter of William Taylor Wolverton and Emma Marie Basinger. Her birth was 5 months after her father Taylor died from a ruptured appendix. Her widowed mother Emma was 38 years old with three daughters to raise: Corine (13), Edith (10) and new born Betty June. In 1934 her mother married 54 year old widower, William Samuel Baisden. They lived in Nacogdoches in East Texas for a while where her step-father was employed as a "Finish Carpenter". About 1944, William and Emma moved to #1 Nonesuch Lane in Dallas where they lived on the Neiman Marcus Estate and William worked as their gardner and caretaker. Betty June finished high school in Dallas and married Robert Parker Robardey about 1950. They had two daughters:
1) Deborah Ann
2) Linda Elizabeth
