He was employed as a Farmer in Ladiesburg, Frederick County, Maryland. His nearest relative was Martha Jane Grabill, of the same address. He was short in height, slender in build, with gray eyes and brown hair.


Obituary for William Oscar Grabill from the Frederick Post of Monday, April 27, 1970:

"William Oscar Grabill, Sr., 94, of Johnsville near Union Bridge, died Sunday at his home after an illness of several months. He was born in Frederick County, a son of the late Moses and Sophia Murphy Grabill. His first wife was the late Ivy Valentine Grabill. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Blessing Grabill; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Grimm and Mrs. Mary Crabbs, both of New Midway; two sons, William O. Grabill, Jr., of Johnsville and Granville L. Grabill, of New Windsor; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Haugh's Lutheran Church. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Union Bridge funeral home of D. D. Hartzler and Sons. The Rev. Eugene Gardner, his pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Haugh's Cemetery in Ladiesburg. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening."

The following grandsons were pallbearers: Wayne and Warren Esworthy, Earl Crabbs, Jr., Herbert Damazo, Eugene Grabill, and Clarence Burrier, Jr. Interment was in Haugh's Cemetery at Ladiesburg."
